Ardeer Community Park was partly built by volunteers on a two day planting and community building day and the design and funding of the park was largely driven by committed local community members.
The park includes a dry creek bed and nature zone with sculptures and a range of other public art. The local community helps to maintain the garden beds, planted with indigenous plants.
The park also includes a great playground containing a main climbing structure, a play truck and a children’s sandpit with a play kitchen. Picnic facilities including a shelter next to the playground, were built at the end of 2011.
