Aged and Disability Information and Referral
Provides information about facilities, programs and resources for the aged and people with disabilities. Referral to appropriate support services is provided.
Community Transport (HACC)
A bus service provides transport for frail, elderly residents and those with disabilities wishing to attend activities in the municipality such as senior citizens’ clubs, shopping and planned activity groups. The bus is fitted with a hoist for wheelchair access.
Disabled Persons’ Parking Permits
Parking permits are available for people with permanent or temporary ambulatory or behavioural disabilities or for their families or carers. Two types of permits are available, depending on the nature of the disability.
One allows parking in a normal parking bay for twice the length of time and the other allows parking in a disabled parking bay. Permits are valid for a maximum of three years and would then need to be renewed. Temporary permits may also be issued.
Read further information and access the application forms here.
Mobility Maps
Brimbank City Council has produced mobility maps to help people with disabilities access the community. The maps can be obtained by telephoning Council on 9249 4000.
Multi-Purpose Taxi Program Application Forms

The first step in applying for the Multi-Purpose Taxi Program is to ask your doctor to complete a medical assessment, which your doctor will complete online on the Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria website.
See the brochure with an explanation of the application steps here.

Pensioners may qualify for concession rates.
Those who may be eligible include aged, widowed, invalid, disability support or single parent pensioners issued with a combined Centrelink, Transport and Health Benefits Card or entitled to full fringe benefits from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
