In-Home Respite Care (NRCP & HACC)
In-home day respite care and centre-based group day program for carers of the aged and other people with dementia.

Cost To Clients: Inquire.
Referral: Self or agency.

Out & About of Brimbank
Includes social outings and activities for young people and adults 16 to 45 years old with disabilities.

Cost To Clients: Nil.
Referral: Self.

Recreation Programs (HACC)
Social outings, recreational activities and support are provided for children, young people, adults and the aged who have disabilities and reside in the municipality.
Western Amigos, for children and young people 7 to 15 years old.
Out & Abouters, for young people and adults 16 to 45 years old.
Explorers Club, for socially isolated older residents aged 55 years or over and not attending PAG or senior citizens’ programs.

Cost To Clients: Dependent on activity.
Availability: Activities are run weekly.
Transport is available for those unable to use public transport.
Referral: Self, family, agency or medical.
Assessment: By application.

Special Requirements: Must be eligible under HACC funding guidelines.
Specific Home Care (HACC)
Personal care at home for children and young people with disabilities and support for their families. Respite care is also available.

Cost To Clients: Means tested.
Availability: Weekday, evening & weekend care are available according to need.
Referral: Self, family, agency or medical.
Assessment: An assessment to determine eligibility & needs is required & is undertaken by the Home Care Assessment Officer.
