The upgrade of Kurung Drive Reserve was part of the Creating Better Parks Policy and Plan.
Stage one upgrade was completed in 2011 comprising a circuit pathway with stencil text marking a ‘Fifty Meter Sprint’, tree planting, grassing and mounding.
Stage 2 upgrade was completed in 2019. Installed were a combined basketball and netball court, soccer/rugby post, space to kick a ball, play equipment (including a triple swing, giant swing, spinner, and rocker), nature play area, maze, fitness station, a large shelter, picnic area, BBQ, drinking fountain, and 77 trees.
