Specialist Centre for Deaf & Hearing- Impaired Children
A facility for deaf and hearing-impaired students from Prep to Year 6. Children participate in regular classes within the
school, with additional resources provided by trained teachers of the deaf. The facility addresses all communication methods including speech, listening and signing in English & Auslan. Auslan is taught to all students from Prep to Year 6. Speech pathology and audio logical support services are also provided. The level of support is negotiated to match the needs of each student.
Referral: Self.
Special Requirements: A bilateral sensory neural
hearing loss that is moderate/severe/profound
Office Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Mon to Fri.
Availability: 8.00am to 5.00pm, Mon to Fri.
